Orgulhosas '26

In the parish of Nevogilde, in the municipality of Lousada, festivities are held in honour of Our Lady of Ajuda, a Marian invocation venerated with devotion by the local community. Around this devotion, the festival known as 'Orgulhosas' is organised, taking place usually between the end of August and the beginning of September. As is typical of the region's religious festivities, the celebration unites faith and the life of the land: there are religious ceremonies and processions dedicated to Our Lady of Ajuda, alongside music, concerts and cultural activities that bring the community together. Fireworks also mark the highlights of these festive days. Admission is free, making 'Orgulhosas' a gathering open to everyone, blending devotion to the patron saint with the festivities that enliven Nevogilde year after year.
