The Grupo Recreativo e Cultural de Fermontelos is a folk dance group from the village of Fermontelos, in the municipality of São Pedro do Sul. It was born from a conversation between friends in 1985, formally established in 1986, and in 1991 it founded the social solidarity association of the same name.
It preserves around 30 dances, songs and performances linked to agricultural traditions, and maintains a custom with over 300 years of history: during Lent and Holy Week, its members sing and pray through the village until sunrise.
