biography
The Grupo de Folclore do Porto Santo was founded on 1 November 1963 by Padre Martins Júnior and several parishioners, with the aim of preserving and promoting porto-santense culture through its dances and songs. It is based in Campo de Baixo, on the island of Porto Santo, and has been affiliated with the Federação do Folclore Português since 1977.
In 2026 it took part in the FARM - Festival Agrícola e Repentista da Madeira, in Santana.
