Privacy Policy – AppOKI (under GDPR compliance)
This privacy policy explains how personal data is collected, used, and protected in connection with the AppOKI application, in compliance with the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The AppOKI project is currently operated and maintained by an individual acting as the data controller.
1. What kind of data is collected?
AppOKI collects the following categories of personal and technical data:
Personal identification data (name, email address, physical address, phone number — if voluntarily submitted)
Device ID (anonymous unique identifier)
Geolocation (only when explicitly provided and used for map functionalities within the app)
Usage data (including app navigation and search history, only collected within the app)
Images or videos (only if voluntarily uploaded)
No date of birth or internal user number is collected.
2. How is data collected?
Data is collected in the following ways:
Directly from the user when registering, submitting forms, or using features of the app
Through technical tracking within the app (e.g. in-app searches, navigation patterns)
Through third-party services used for analytics, performance, or advertising
3. Third-party data processors
Data may be processed by the following services, strictly for analytics, technical performance, or monetisation:
Google Firebase: crash reporting, analytics, notifications
Google Analytics: usage analysis (aggregated and anonymised)
AppsFlyer: campaign attribution for Google Ads
Google AdMob: in-app advertisements, potentially based on device and usage patterns
None of these services receive personal identification information (such as name or contact details).
4. Legal basis for data processing
All data is processed under one or more of the following legal bases, as per Article 6 of the GDPR:
User consent
Legitimate interest (e.g. for analytics or fraud prevention)
Performance of a service requested by the user
5. How is data stored?
All data is securely stored in Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure, within the European Union (France region).
Access to the data is strictly limited to the data controller and protected using security best practices.
6. Data retention period
Personal data (such as name, email, geolocation and usage data) is stored for a maximum of 36 months of user inactivity. After this period, it is permanently deleted from storage and backups using secure deletion protocols.
7. Data subject rights (under GDPR)
You have the right to:
Access your personal data
Request rectification or completion of inaccurate/incomplete data
Request erasure of your data under applicable conditions
Restrict processing under certain situations
Object to processing based on legitimate interest

8. Marketing
AppOKI may send emails about features or news related to the application. No personal data is shared with external marketing companies.
Users can opt out of any marketing communications by contacting the above email.
9. Cookies and tracking technologies
AppOKI uses cookies and similar technologies solely within the app environment, to:
Improve performance
Deliver non-personalised advertising (via AdMob)
Measure usage anonymously via Google Analytics
No cookies are used to track the user across third-party websites.
10. Privacy policies of other services
AppOKI may include links or embed content from third-party services (such as maps or ads). This privacy policy only applies to AppOKI. Users should review the policies of third-party services individually.
